ACS (J) Strings Meets the SSO

In an unprecedented collaboration, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra will be performing in a benefit concert with the Anglo-Chinese School (Junior) String Orchestra.

The concert will feature the celebrated Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3, which will be performed by soloist, Ms Pan Yi An, accompanied by the SSO, under the baton of Maestro Lan Shui. Says Maestro Lan Shui, “ The SSO is most happy to perform for this concert and help raise funds for the school. I hope that our performance will inspire parents and students alike to enjoy the kind of music we are proud to present.”

Date: July 23rd 2009
Location: Victoria Concert Hall

Mark this on your calendar and do try to share this evening with our boys as they embark on this historic event. Support in the form of ticket sales and donations to the “Campus Arts Alive” fund would be greatly appreciated.

Bursary Application

The ACS Class of 1978 successfully organised its 30th anniversary reunion on 4 July 2008 and as part of the celebration of 30 years of friendship, we have raised funds for 4 annual bursaries for current students of ACS schools. The bursaries will be awarded for a period of 10 years.

The bursaries will be based on students' needs (not academic performance) and a committee has been set up to decide on the recipients. The award(s) will be made to the recipient(s) on Founder’s Day each year.
